Hi Friends! I finally had the chance to update this pattern to include worsted weight since it. was originally written for Super Bulky Weight yarn only back in 2021.

GAUGE
Stockinette in US15/10mm
US9/5.5mm 4” = 15 sts | 22 rounds
4” = 9 Stitches | 13 Rows/Rounds
YARN
Super Bulky #6 (40-110 yards)
Oatmeal #4 (Approx. 218 Yards)
Alternatives:

NEEDLES
Worsted: US 7/4.5mm & US 9/5.5mm
Super Bulky: US 13/9mm & US 15/10mm
OR Double Pointed Needles

MEASUREMENTS
This is just a standard head sizing chart provided for your convenience. This is
not the finished beanie size. Sizes may differ due to knitter’s tension and type of yarn used.

Instructions | In US Terms
Sizes: Baby (Toddler, Child, Adult, Lg Adult)
BRIM | Smaller Needles
Worsted: co 48 (60, 66, 72) sts
Super Bulky: co 36 (38, 40, 42) sts
add stitch marker and join, careful not to twist sts.
Worsted: Rounds 1- 8 (8, 10, 12)
Super Bulky: Rounds 1- 4 (5, 6, 7)
[k1 tbl, p1]. Rep bet [ ].
BODY | Larger Needles
Adjustment Round (Super Bulky only)
Toddler: [k2tog, k17] twice. (36 sts)
Child: [kfb k19] twice. (42 sts)
Round 1: [k3, k2tog, yo, k1]. Rep bet [ ]
Round 2: [k2, k2tog, yo, k2]. Rep bet [ ]
Round 3: [k1, k2tog, yo, k3]. Rep bet [ ]
Round 4: [k2tog, yo, k4] Rep bet [ ]
Round 5: [k1, yo, ssk, k3] Rep bet [ ]

Measure from the bottom of brim up to needles. Adjust as needed to fit your preference.

Round 1: [k2tog, k4]. Rep bet [ ]
Round 2: k all sts.
Round 3: [k2tog, k3]. Rep bet [ ]
Round 4: k all sts.
Round 5: [k2tog, k2]. Rep bet [ ]
Round 6: k all sts.

Ending on Round 8

Round 1: [ssk, k4]. Rep between [ ].
Round 2: k all sts.
Round 3: [ssk, k3]. Rep between [ ].
Round 4: k all sts.
Round 5: [ssk, k2]. Rep between [ ].
Round 6: k all sts.
Round 7: [ssk, k1]. Rep between [ ].
FINISHING
Cut yarn leaving a long tail. Using a tapestry needle, weave through remaining sts as if to knit and pull tight. Secure and weave in all ends.

Pom Pom (Optional)
Using an extra-large pom pom maker (or desired size), make pom pom by wrapping yarn around pom maker until full or as thick as you’d like and attach to beanie.
