Today's post is a review of beautiful hand dyed yarn from Zen Garden. I received 3 hanks of their Jazzy collection which consists of the colors Jazzy Ooak, Jazzy Splatter & Obsidian. They were paired perfectly for any project.

Each Fingering weight hank is approx 400 yards. The fiber is 70% Superwash Superfine Merino, 20% Cashmere, 10% nylon. I don't normally work with light weight yarn. Actually, this would be my first time actually working with it. My other lighter weight yarn has just been sitting pretty on my shelves.
I decided that I would make a sweater. To make this project a little quicker, I decided to crochet instead of knit this project.
I didn't plan this design. Sometimes, I like to just wing it even though it's a big risk. I decided for the ease of a simple sweater, I worked double crochet stitches & a raglan-style sweater.
This yarn is so amazing to work with. I can definitely see myself knitting with it. I think it will knit up a beautiful shawl! I admit that I don't use fine yarn in my designs. I knit/crochet mostly with category 4 or heavier.
I really wish that I had more time to work with delicate, lacy patterns using fingering weight. Maybe when I retire (wait, is that ever going to happen) from my full time job, One can hope, right!?
