MEASUREMENTS
This is just a standard head sizing chart provided for your convenience. This is not the finished beanie size. Sizes may differ due to knitter’s tension and type of yarn used.

Sizes: Baby (Toddler, Child, Adult, Lg Adult)
BRIM | US13/9mm Needles
With mc, co 36 (38, 40, 42, 44), join round careful not to twist sts. Add stitch marker to mark the beg.
Rounds 1- 5 (6, 7, 7, 8): *k1tbl, p1. Rep from * around.
BODY | US15/10mm Needles
Set up Round (mc)
Baby – [k2, p2]. Rep between [ ] (36 sts)
Toddler – *[k2, p2] 4 times, kfb, p2. Rep from * once. (40 sts)
Child – [k2, p2]. Rep between [ ] (40 sts)
Adult – [k2, p2], 5 times, kfb, p2. [k2, p2], 4 times, kfb, p2. (44 sts)
Lg Adult – [k2, p2]. Rep between [ ] (44 sts)
Rounds 1-4: [p2, k2]. Rep between [ ] around.
Rounds 5-8: [k2, p2]. Rep between [ ] around.
Repeat rounds 1-8 following the chart until your beanie measures ear to crown height (see chart on page 1) ending on rounds 4 or 8. Measure from the bottom of brim up. Examples: For a 9-year-old, stop at 8-9” for a 1-2” slouch beanie. Adjust slouch as desired.
Decrease Rounds | Switch to dpns when stitches are too tight on circular needles or

Round 1: [k2, p2tog]. Rep from * around.

FINISHING Cut yarn leaving a long tail. Using a tapestry needle, weave through remaining stitches as if to knit and pull tight. Secure and weave in all ends.
Pom Pom
Using an extra-large pom pom maker (or desired size), make pom pom by wrapping yarn around pom maker until full or as thick as you’d like and attach to beanie.
