Knit Sweet Braided Ear Warmer Pattern

Hi Friends! Today's free pattern is this chunky Sweet Braided Ear Warmer (so generic, right?). I recorded a video for C4R & C4L Cable stitches and figured I might as well make something out of it!

I used Hobbii Yarns Amigo in the beautiful Cognac color! If you're shopping locally, any super bulky yarn will work. I recommend Lion Brand's Hometown USA 100% acrylic yarn. Another great option is Wool Ease Thick and Quick, a wool blend.

The pdf is FREE in my online shop for today only (11/18/21)! Click on listing below.

After, you can find the $2 pdf pattern in my shops or save it as a favorite.

MEASUREMENTS

This is just a standard head sizing chart provided for your convenience. This is not the finished beanie size. Sizes may differ due to knitter’s tension and type of yarn used.

Instructions | In US Terms

Sizes Baby 1-2 Years (Child-Adult)

co 8 (14) sts

Row 1 (wrong side): p all sts

Row 2: sl1k wyib, [k2, C4B] twice. Sl1k wyib.

Row 3: p all sts

Row 4: sl1k wyib, [C4F, k2] twice. Sl1k wyib.

Rep rows 1- 4 until piece measures the desired circumference. See chart above. Bind off.

Cut yarn leaving a long tail. With wrong side out, fold both short ends in half. Place them together so they are “sandwiched”. Sew all 4 pieces together using a tapestry needle.

FINISHING

Weave in all ends. Turn right side out. You should not be able to see the seam.

I’d love to see your completed work!
