Abbreviations co - Cast on
st(s) - Stitch(es)
k - knit
p - Purl
rs - Right Side
rep - Repeat
Needles
Lantern Moon Single Point Needles
Special Stitches
Smocking Stitch Insert Right Hand Needle between the 6th & 7th stitch, pull up a loop & place it on the Left Hand Needle. Knit this with the next st.
Instructions co 34 or in multiples of 8 + 2
row 1 (rs): p2, *k2, p2. Rep from * to end.
row 2: k2, *p2, k2. Rep from * to end.
row 3: p2, *smocking stitch, k1, p2, k2, p2. Rep from * to end.
row 4: Repeat row 2.
row 5: Repeat row 1.
row 6: Repeat row 2.
row 7: p2, k2, p2, *smocking stitch, k1, p2, k2, p2. Rep from * until last 4 sts. End with k2, p2.
row 8:
Repeat row 2.
repeat rows 1-8 Repeat rows 1- 8 three times or until desired size.
