ch - Chain

st(s) - Stitch(es)

hk - Hook

yo - Yarn Over

sc - Single Crochet

dc - Double Crochet

sp - Space

sk - Skip

rep - Repeat

Knit Pro, Mellow: US I/5.5mm


Special Stitches

3dc Cluster Stitch

(yo, insert hook in st, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops) 3x, yo, pull through 4 loops.




Foundation Row (rs): ch 35 or in multiples of 10 + 5 sts. Insert hk in 4th ch from hk (1st 3 ch counts as dc st), 1dc in next st, *sk3 sts, in next st, work ([3dc cluster, ch3] twice, 3dc cluster), sk3 sts, 1dc in each of the next 3 sts. Rep from * to end.


Note: See “Special Stitches” for instructions on the 3dc Cluster Stitch.


Row 1 (ws): ch3 (counts as dc), turn, 1dc in each of the next 2 sts, *ch3, sk next cluster, 1sc in next cluster, sk next cluster, ch3, 1dc in each of the next 3 sts. Rep from * to end.


Note: The last st is worked in the turning ch from the foundation row.


Row 2: ch3 (or try the Standing Double Crochet Stitch), 1dc in each of the next 2 sts, *sk3 ch sts, in the sc st, work ([3dc cluster, ch3] twice, 3dc cluster), sk3 ch sts, 1dc in each of the next 3 sts. Rep from * to end.




Note: The last st is worked in the 3rd ch from the beginning ch3 from the previous row (known as the turning chain). Using the standing dc st, you’ll work the last st in that dc st.


Repeat Rows 1 - 2 until you’re happy with the size, ending on Row 1.


Fasten off and weave in ends.
