"Flight of the Bumblebee" Slouch Beanie Pattern & Tutorial

Hi Friends! Tody's free pattern is the "Flight of the Bumblebee" Slouch. I thought this name was cute and decided o use the stitch name :). The pattern is available on my YouTube Channel. A left handed video is also available.

This post contains affiliate links. Please see bottom of post for more information.

I used Lion Brand's Wool Ease Thick and Quick, Glacier. This is a wool blend (20%) but if your skin doesn't love the wool blend, then, Hometown USA Yarn may be a good alternative. This a100% acrylic yarn. They also have all acrylic in Thick and Quick Bundle. It looks like the Wool Blend.

The free pattern is for a child size only.

You can find the ad-free pdf pattern in my shops or save it as a favorite. Links to video and resources are provided in the pdf pattern as well.

Finishing

Cut yarn leaving long tail. Using a tapestry needle, weave through remaining stitches as if to knit and pull tight. Secure and weave in all ends.

Pom Pom

Using an extra-large pom pom maker (or desired size), make pom pom by wrapping yarn around pom maker until full or as thick as you’d like and attach to beanie.

I appreciate how clearly you’ve outlined the rules for using your patterns and giving proper credit. As someone who enjoys crafting, I know how much effort goes into designing patterns. I remember making a cute hat from one of your designs while taking a break at my favorite spot, Monkey Mart. If I notice any errors in your patterns, I’ll definitely let you know. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!

This slouch looks so cozy! I love how you've offered yarn alternatives for those with wool sensitivities. I'm curious, what other stitch patterns might work well for a similar slouch design, perhaps something with a different texture? Might be worth a look to see what other ideas are out there. What do you think about that, Drift Hunters?

In Geometry Dash Lite the level design follows a strictly linear structure rather than an open-world format. Each level has a fixed beginning and end, requiring precision timing to successfully complete.
