Knit Linen Stitch (in rows) Tutorial



Today's tutorial is on the Knit Linen Stitch. This stitch is super simple to knit with just a 2 row repeat so it's great for beginners! I will provide instructions on working this stitch in rows.

A separate post and video for working the Linen Stitch in the round here!

It's important that you make sure your slip stitches are not tight or it'll pull your stitches together.

SUPPLIES:

US 15 Handmade Needle set I'm using in the video is from Art of Siberia on Etsy.


 



ABBREVIATIONS

co – Cast on

st(s) - Stitch(es)

sl - slip a stitch (purl-wise)

wyif - With yarn in front

wyib - With yarn in back

k – Knit

p - Purl

rep – Repeat


Instructions:

Co any even number of sts.

Row 1: *k1, sl1 wyif. Rep from * to end.

Row 2: *p1, sl1 wyib. Rep from * to end.

Repeat Rows 1-2 until desired size. ​Cut yarn leaving a tail and weave in all ends.
