Hello July! I know, it's probably too hot for scarves in most places but I wanted to share an old pattern I made for my bestie for her birthday.
This pattern is really easy and great for beginners. Garter Stitches are "knit" stitches on both the right and wrong side. So you can catch up on your favorite shows while knitting this super scarf.
I used I Love This Cotton Yarn sold at Hobby Lobby (purchase here) stores or online. I love their soft and affordable cotton yarn. I used a soft grey, in the color Dove. I doubled up so I can use a larger needle.
Leolani Super Scarf
Measurements: 9" Width | 88" Length

I Love This Cotton | 4 balls | Color Dove | 2 strands held together
US 11/8mm Knitting Needles | Straight | or Circular
Tapestry Needle (large eye)
Scissors
Abbreviations: co - Cast on st(s) - Stitch(es)
k- Knit
Pattern: With 2 strands of yarn,
Co 88 sts (or any number of sts for width of scarf based on your gauge)

Row 1: k all sts across Row 2: k all sts across
Repeat rows 1-2 until desired size. I just kept going until I ran out of yarn because I wanted a super scarf.

Cut yarn leaving a long tail (approx. 12"). Using the tapestry needle, weave in all ends including your beginning tail.
