Knit FernWood Slouch Pattern Release

Updated: Apr 19, 2019

Just released is the knit FernWood Slouch Beanie. During our camp trip at Big Sur along the coast of California. I usually bring my yarn and tools to camp trips in case there are down time.

It took some time for me to release this one. I had several patterns floating around and last week, I was surprised that I was able to release one pattern everyday. Can you tell that I didn't plan it too well. I'm so busy that I usually just knit or crochet whenever I can and get it tested whenever I can and then release whenever I can!

Please visit any of my shops if you would like to purchase ad-free PDF patterns in a convenient tri-fold format for on-the-go Knitting/Crocheting.

There are 4 sizes available: Baby (Toddler, Child, Adult). This pattern uses Super Bulky weight yarn and I used just the one skein (87 yards) for this beanie. I used Loops & Threads, Cozy Wool Yarn in the color Subtlety (exclusive at Michaels).

Here are some of my favorite needles I use to make beanies. This pattern requires 16" knitting needles but you can always use Double Pointed Needles (which I'm not a fan of!)

I'm including needles that I don't use anymore but are great for beginners on a budget or wanting to spend too much. The fixed 16" bamboo ($8.28) are the ones I started using to learn with.
