Knit Cluster Stitch Pattern & Tutorial

Updated: Apr 19, 2019

Hi everyone! I had this stitch pattern marked for a project for a very long time! I have so many books and I go through them so often. It's probably a bad thing because I get distracted and my brain wants to do it all... I'm sure some of you can relate.

I came across it the other day while designing another beanie and said to myself, it's now or never! So, I'm here to share with you the stitch pattern. Assuming that you can knit and purl, the video tutorial only demonstrates the Cluster Stitch (CL).

If you're brand new to knitting, check out my beginner's knitting videos to get you started. Click here.

In the video I used Lion Brand's Wool Ease Tonal Yarn (Purchase here)

In the photo of the Cluster Beanie, I used Lion Brand's NEW Mandala Thick & Quick yarn. I absolutely LOVE the Wool Ease Thick and Quick Yarn. I use it often for my knit beanies. I always wanted an all Acrylic version and they do have them but it's in the large bundle. If you love Mandala (I know I do) and you also love Super Bulky, THIS IS THE YARN FOR YOU! Can you tell I'm excited!? Check out all the beautiful combinations of colors! Click here!

I used Clover's fixed circular needles in the video but some of my 16" interchangeable needle sets are shown below. I've included some cheaper needles for beginners who are just wanting to experiment too.

I own all these so I'm not just randomly recommending things I don't use. I can say that I do not use my old fixed bamboo sets anymore but I sure use the crap out of them when I first started!
