Knit Adult's Cera Slouch Beanie Tutorial

Today's pattern & tutorial is on the Knit Cera Slouch Beanie. This free pattern is for an adult size. If you'd like to purchase the convenient tri-fold pdf pattern (in 4 sizes), please visit my any of my shops.

I designed this beanie on our recent camp trip. Most of the time, I have no idea how things are going to work out. You imagine a design but sometimes, they finish differently than what you envisioned in your head!

This one was completely different than what I imagined. When you're knitting lace stitches with super bulky yarn, the holes are much larger than if you were to knit with lighter weight yarn. I really didn't like it at first but it grew on me...

This complimentary pattern is for the Adult size only. Video Tutorial at bottom of post.

SUPPLIES:

  • Super Bulky Yarn. I'm using Lion Brand's Wool Ease, Thick & Quick in Winter Sky. I used just under 1 skein (87 yards per skein). If you purchase a colorway that has 106 yards, you will be able to make a pom pom too!

  • US 13, 9mm 16" Circular needles.

  • Scissor | Purchase the Vintage Style Floral Scissor here!

  • Tape Measure

  • Tapestry Needle

  • 9mm Double Pointed Needle (optional) or use modified magic loop method (tutorial here)

  • Stitch Marker | Make your own stitch marker here!
