Main Piece

Start with Blue yarn

Place a marker between the 42nd & 43rd loop for approx. 26” width. Bring the ball (working yarn) to left. You will have 2 rows. You will work from right to left.

To adjust your size, measure the yarn for the width you want.

Row 1: Insert top (43rd) loop in the bottom (42nd) loop, inserting from behind.

Insert next top loop in the next bottom loop.

Repeat until you reach the last loop.

Row 2: Working from right to left. Insert top loop in the bottom loop inserting from behind. Insert next top loop in the next bottom loop. Repeat until you reach marked loop. Insert 2 loops in the loop that is marked (1 increase).

Repeat rows 1 & 2 until you have 5 rows (first row counts!).

You can adjust the number of rows you want for each color. You will need an ODD number of completed rows total.

Total Rows: 37

Green yarn for 3 rows.

Blue yarn for 21 rows.

Green yarn for 3 rows.

Blue yarn for 5 rows.

Cast off: Starting on the right corner, insert left loop in right loop. Now insert the next left loop into the loop you just pulled up. Continue to insert the next left loop into the loop you just worked until end. After you work the last loop, cut yarn leaving 8-10 loops & pull through last loop. Cut the loops off the tail and weave in ends.

Hoodie

Change to Yellow yarn

Place marker in the middle row on the side (circled in photos). You will work the hood on the edge in the blue section of the blanket (from arrow to arrow in photo). You can adjust the number of sts you will use for the hood. Mine was 21 sts.

Row 1: Insert yellow yarn in the last stitch of each row between the “V”. Start from left to right (21 sts)

Work from left to right

Row 2: Working from right to left. Insert top loop in the bottom loop inserting from behind. Insert next top loop in the next bottom loop. Repeat until you reach marked loop. Insert 2 loops in the loop that is marked (1 increase).

Row 3 & all odd number rows: Working from left to right. Insert top loop in the bottom loop inserting from behind. Insert next top loop in the next bottom loop. Repeat until end.

Row 4: Working from right to left. Insert top loop in the bottom loop inserting from behind. Insert next top loop in the next bottom loop. Repeat until you reach the 2 middle loops. Insert 2 loops in each of the next 2 loops (2 increases).

Rep Rows 3 & 4 increasing on even rows in the middle 2 sts. Work a total of 13 rows. Each even number row increases by 2 sts.

Always increase in the middle 2 loops

Working on the wrong side of you hood, fold top edge so you can close the hood. Starting on the crown (back), insert 1 loop from one side into last loop of the other side. Now insert the next loop into the loop you just pulled up, alternating sides. Continue to insert the next left loop into the loop you just worked until end.

After you work the last loop, cut yarn leaving 8-10 loops & pull through last loop. Cut the loops off the tail and weave in ends.

That's it ya'll! It didn't take long to make this size. You can adjust as you please however you will need more yarn than recommended.
