How to Cast Off with a Crochet Hook - Video Tutorial

Today's post is on a cast off method trick for using a crochet hook. Casting/binding off is not hard with needles but if you're a crocheter, you'll appreciate this method. For me personally, I love using a hook because it's more comfortable and quicker. It's a neat trick but I don't always have a crochet hook available!

This is especially helpful when working the Three Needle Bind off... but that's another tutorial!

The needles I used in the video are available on Amazon. The hook I used is from Hobby Lobby.

Step 1: Insert your hook through the first stitch as if to Knit

Step 2: Yarn over and pull up a loop

(These 2 steps are similar to knitting one stitch)

Step 3: Insert your hook through the next stitch as if to Knit

Step 4: Yarn over and pull up a loop

Step 5: Pull through loop on hook & slide stitch off left hand needle

Repeat Steps 3-5 until one loop is left on your hook. Yarn over and pull all the way through.
