Hi Friends! Gisela Hand Warmers pattern is live! Sometimes, I just can't come up with a name and since I already used "fingerless gloves" for my last (Chunky) hand warmers, I had to choose a new name! Gisela is my son's teacher and one of these hand warmers was made for her as a gift in her favorite color!
This pattern comes with a video tutorial (see video at bottom of this post). This was the chunky fingerless glove I released not too long ago if you're interested!

I used yarn from my Knit Crate Box, Vidalana, Tweedy Sheep in Pumpkin Spiced Everything. I absolutely LOVE tweed and the first set was knitted with Knit Picks/We Crochet's City Tweed (Worsted version). KNit Picks has a couple of other tweeds I thought might be good for this pattern as well. Knit Picks Provincial Tweed & Wool of the Andes Tweed. Any worsted weight will do. I'm still working on another set for my son's friend using Red Heart Super Saver in Real Teal (her fav color!).
I have invested in many tools for knitting in the round with a small circumference. I was mostly concerned with the double pointed needles (dpn). Although, I started to get used to Knit Pick's dpns, I wanted Knitter's Pride's Ginger dpns. It's like the baby version (case) of the Ginger interchangeable needles. I also used Hiya Hiya's Flexible Needles & Clover's Takumi Interchangable Needles for the Magic Loop, which I found was the most comfortable. Of course you can always get generics to practice on. These Bamboo Sets are about $10 for 15 sets!
