Hi friends! I have a very simple beginner's Knit Scarf (Garter Scarf) using Super Bulky Yarn so it's not so intimidating! You can do it! One thing I absolutely love about Garter Stitches is that you just knit each side (right and wrong side). The pattern for a selvage edge which just gives it a neater edge although I also love just the normal (knit each side) edge.
If you are an absolute beginner, just knit all stitches on both sides. Ignore the slip stitches at the begging and end of each right-side row and the purl stitches on the wrong side rows.

I've recorded a full video tutorial because I myself learned through YouTube AND I am a very visual learner. So I got you covered my visual learners!
I've decided to offer this pattern for free in the pdf version as well. I hope that this encourages you to keep kitting and enjoy your knitting journey!
You can download the pdf for FREE here and on Ravelry.

Wait, you can just knit every stitch on both sides instead of doing the selvedge edge? nana banana ai That's such a game-changer for my clumsy beginner hands! Might try that first before attempting the fancy edges lol
This looks like such a great beginner-friendly project! nano I love that you included both right and left-handed tutorials - as a lefty, I really appreciate that. The garter stitch is so forgiving for new knitters, and your video tutorial will be super helpful. I've been wanting to try a bulky yarn project, and this seems perfect for my first scarf.
