Delicious Yarn Review

Updated: Apr 19, 2019

Today's post is a review of Delicious Yarn's Pairing Combo. I thought it was strange to have orange and pink paired but I absolutely LOVED it.

The yarn is hand-dyed here in Valley Village, California. If you sign up for their newsletter, you will receive 2 free patterns and a sweet surprise within a few weeks of signing up!

I had a lot of trouble figuring out what to make with this beautiful yarn. If you follow my work, you know that I don't typically use light weight yarn but that doesn't mean that I won't use it at all! When I had the opportunity to test and review this yarn, I hesitated for a second but then went for it.

One thing I encouraged myself to do is go outside my comfort level. I started with the free shawl pattern they provided. It's a super simple shawl and the finished shawl looks beautiful. I started it and then knew that I wouldn't finish because as beautiful as it was, It would have taken too long. So I frogged and decided to make something else.

I know that lace works up beautifully so I thought maybe I'd do that! After getting pretty far on this project, I frogged this as well. Hey, don't judge. LOL

Then I decided I wanted to make a beanie (right up my alley!) because I've never made a beanie with such nice, soft, light weight yarn before. I wanted a simple beanie with a twist. I decided that I'd go with surface crocheting to add in the contrasting pink! I love it!

I absolutely love making a beanie with this yarn. I'm going to be search my stash for more light weight yarn for beanies. It's super cozy and light! I still love my chunky & cozy beanies but this is going to be one of my favorites!

Make sure you follow me on Instagram for updates or subscribe to my blog. Be on the look out for the beanie pattern and this cozy pullover sweater!
