Today's stitch pattern is the Thick & Thin Loops Single Crochet Stitch. This stitch makes a very interesting fabric using a heavy weight yarn incorporating lighter weight yarn using a hook appropriate for the heavier weight yarn. Using just single crochet stitches, it's a very easy stitch to learn!
I used Darn Good Yarn's beautiful Fancy Twist Silk Yarn and their Silk Lace Yarn.

Yarn - Darn Good Yarn, Fancy Twist Silk Yarn & Silk Lace Yarn
US K/6.5mm Crochet Hook - I used Tulip Brand Crochet Hook
ABBREVIATIONS
ch - Chain
st(s) - Stitch(es)
sc - Single Crochet
PATTERN NOTES
Start with the heavier weight yarn using an appropriate hook size for yarn. I used a 6.5mm hook for the Bulky weight yarn.
Switch yarn every 2 rows
Do not cut yarn (unless you want to!)
Carry yarn up, dropping yarn that isn't used
STITCH PATTERN
Foundation: ch any number of sts, 1sc in 2nd ch st from hook and in every ch st across
Row 1-2: ch1, turn, 1sc in every st across.
Switch to lace yarn
Row 3-4: ch1, turn, 1sc in every st across.
Switch to bulky yarn
Repeat rows 1-4 switching yarn every 2 rows until desired size.
Finishing
End with one more row of sc its to match foundation row. Fasten off and weave in ends.
