Crochet the set up round for beanies

Updated: Mar 19, 2019

Happy Friday! It took me awhile to make this video. I have videos posted that show you how to crochet the "set up" round. This is what I call the first round after making a brim for a bottom up beanie. This round is not included in the actual stitch patterns for the main portion of the body. This tutorial is for brims crocheted with single crochet stitches.

For Half Double Crochet Stitches, I normally crochet 3 stitches for every 2 rows.

For Slip Stitches, I normally crochet 1 single crochet for every row just as I would with single crochet stitches. Why? The slip stitches are very stretchy and that is why I do it. It may be different for you and your tension,

Back to this video. I hope this is helpful especially when working my patterns :)
