Today's stitch tutorial is for this pretty shell stitch I used in my Crochet Anya Slouch, just released yesterday! I'm just going to jump right in then!
I used several different weight yarn for this stitch and I loved them all! This tutorial is worked in

Abbreviations
ch - chain
st(s) - stitch(es)
sk - skip
sc - single crochet
Special Stitch: Shell Stitch - 2dc, ch1, 2dc in the same st.
Tall Shell Stitch - 1dc, ch1, 1dc in same st. When working the dc its, pull up a tall loop up to the current row.
Pattern
ch in multiples of 6 + 4
Row 1: 1 shell st in the 6th ch from hook, *sk5 sts, shell st. Rep from * until last 4 sts. End with sk3, 1dc in last ch st.
Row 2: ch1 & turn, 1sc in same st, ch1, 1 (long) dc in middle of the 3 skipped st from foundation ch sts, ch1, 1sc in the middle of the next shell st (this is the ch1 sp), *ch1, [1dc, ch1, 1dc] in middle of the skipped 5 sts from foundation ch, ch1, 1sc in middle of next shell st (ch1 sp). Rep from * until last last st (6 ch sts from row 1). 1 tall dc st in 2nd ch from last dc. ch1, 1sc on top of the edge ch st.
Row 3: ch3 (counts as dc) & turn, 2dc in same st, ch1, *1shell st (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next ch1 sp in middle of previous 2 (long) dc sts, ch1. Rep from * until last st. Work 3 dc its in last st (to match the beginning set of 3 dc sts).
Row 4: ch1, 1sc in same st, *ch1, Tall Shell St (1dc, ch1, 1dc) in middle of shell st 3 rounds below, ch1, 1sc in middle of next shell st from last row. Rep from * until last 3 sts. 1sc in 3rd ch from turning ch3.
Row 5: ch3 (counts as dc st), *ch1, shell st in sp between previous shell st. Rep from * until last st. ch1, 1dc in last st.
Row 6: ch1 & turn, 1sc in same st. 1 tall dc st in middle of the 3 dc sts from round 3. *ch1, 1sc in ch1 sp between tall dc sts. ch1, tall shell st in middle of shell st from round 3. Rep from * until end. You will end with 1 tall dc into 3rd dc from the 3 dc sts in round 3, 1sc in turning ch.
Repeat Rows 3-6 until desired size.
