Crochet Romanian Cord Tutorial

Updated: Feb 26, 2020

Hi everyone! I just completed my sunflower bag and wanted to share a tutorial for the Romanian Cord that I made for the straps of the bag. I have used this cord to make lanyards and really loved it so I thought I could use it for the straps. I doubled up on the yarn for my bag however you will see that I only used one strand of bulky weight for demonstration purposes only.

It may feel a little awkward at first because you're working into loops that you don't normally work into (for me at least). I would recommend crocheting loosely so it's easier to work.

Materials

Crochet Hook | I used Knitter's Pride Zing

Abbreviations

ch - Chain

st(s) - Stitch(es)

sc - Single Crochet

Pattern Instructions

Start with a slip knot.

Ch2, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook (first ch st).

Turn your work so bottom of work is up. You will work in the one loop below (see photo)

1sc through the one loop on bottom of st

Turn your work again. This time you will work through 2 loops in next row.

1sc through 2 loops.

Repeat last step until desired size: Turn your work, 1sc through 2 loops on bottom.

After browsing for a short while, I noticed how clean and intuitive the layout is. Everything seems to be placed with purpose, and the transitions between different sections are seamless. It makes the overall experience quite enjoyable.

I had a quick look around, and the interface feels very user-friendly. The structure is logical, and the navigation flows naturally. It’s easy to find what you’re looking for without having to think too much.

Spent a few minutes going through the site, and the experience was quite smooth overall. The way content is grouped helps a lot in understanding where everything is. It doesn’t feel overwhelming, which is something many platforms struggle with.

I checked out the interface for a bit, and it definitely leaves a good impression. The layout feels balanced—not too busy, but still informative. I especially liked how easy it was to switch between sections without getting lost.

After taking some time to browse through the platform, I really appreciated how well-organized everything is. The interface isn’t cluttered, and the content is structured in a way that makes navigation easy. It’s clear that usability was kept in mind during the design process.
