MATERIALS
Bulky Yarn (or any weight) - Lion Brand's Wool Ease, Tonal in Aqua.
US 6.5mm Crochet Hook (or recommended hook size for yarn you're using).
Yarn Needle
Scissor
Tape Measure
ABBREVIATIONS
ch - Chain
st(s) - Stitch(es)
sl st(s) - Slip Stitch(es)
yo - Yarn Over
yo sl st (see video below) - Yarn Over Slip Stitch: yo, insert hook in indicated st, pull up a loop & then pull through the 2 loops on your hook.
PATTERN NOTES
Beanie is worked flat and seamed together. All stitches are worked through the back loop only.
PATTERN
Ch any number of stitches for the desired height of your slouch beanie. I chained until my chain sts were approx 10 inches.
Row 1: yo sl st into the 2nd ch from the hook and in every chain across.
Row 2: ch1 & turn your work, Working in back loops only, work a yo sl st in every st across.
Repeat Row 2 until desired size of circumference. Do not cut yarn.
Seaming
With long edges held together, work sl sts in every stitch across.
Cut yarn leaving enough tail for closing up the top.
Use a yarn needle to weave yarn through the edges and pull to cinch up.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Add Pom Pom!
