Crochet Iris Boot Cuffs

Yes, more boot cuffs! Check out the previous blog posts for 2 Chunky Knit Boot Cuffs. I know my "hookers" out there would appreciate a set of crochet boot cuffs. So here is a pretty set that is fairly quick to work up. Everything is measured for sizing so you can make any size you want!

Let's jump right into it then!

Supplies:

Worsted Weight Yarn | I'm using Red Heart Super Saver

US 6mm Crochet Hook | You can use whatever is recommended with your yarn size

Yarn Needle

Abbreviations:

ch - Chain

st(s) - Stitch(es)

sl st - Slip Stitch

sc - Single Crochet

hdc - Half Double Crochet

Double Crochet - Double Crochet

BLO - Back Loops Only

sp - Space

Pattern:

Row 1: ch13 (adjustable). 1hdc into the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch st across.

Row 2: ch1, turn. 1hdc into blo & into each st across (in blo).

EXAMPLE of crocheting into Back Loops Only (blo)

Repeat Row 2 until desired circumference size. End on the same side as the beginning tail.

Bring the 2 short ends together and seam them together. With the starting end closer to you, sl st through both ends going through the blo on the other end.

EXAMPLE of Joining 2 pieces

Now you will work in the round on top portion of the cuffs.

Round 1: ch1, 1sc around making sure you have a multiple of 6 sts. sl st to the first sc st. You should get approx 3 sts for every 2 rows.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into the same st. *sk 1 st, 2dc into the next st. Repeat from * around. sl st to the 3rd ch from the beginning ch3 st. now, sl st to the sp between the first 2 dc sts.

Round 3: Ch3 (counts as a dc) 1dc into the same sp as the ch3. 2dc into the sp between the every 2dc sts. sl st to the 3rd ch from the beginning ch3 st.

Round 4: Repeat round 3.

Round 5: ch1, 1sc into the sp between the first 2 dc sts. *5dc into the sp between the next 2 dc sts. 1sc in the sp between the next dc sts. Repeat from * around but instead of a sc, you're going to sl st into the first sc.

Fasten off and weave in all ends.
