Knit Pro, Mellow: US I/5.5mm
Foundation: Ch14 (for the sample) or in multiples of 3 + 2 sts.
Row 1 (ws): 1sc in 2nd ch from hk, [ch3, sk2 sts, 1sc in next st]. Rep between [ ].

Row 2 (rs): ch3 (counts as dc throughout pattern or try the standing dc st), turn, 1dc in the same st, [1sc in ch3 sp**, 3dc in next sc st]. Rep between [ ] until last sc st ending rep at **. 2dc in last st.

Row 3: ch1, 1sc in same st, [ch3, sk3, 1sc in st]. Rep between [ ] working the last st in the 3rd ch of the turning ch.

Very interesting read! Visual demonstrations are especially helpful when learning practical skills. A pinterest video download tool can be useful for keeping such tutorials available for personal study.
I love this shell stitch tutorial, but I usually need a free anagram solver to help me name my finished projects when I get stuck. Your instructions for the Quick Shells stitch are super clear and easy to follow. Can't wait to try this out with my leftover cotton yarn this weekend!
