Happy Granny Square Day! Yes, it's a thing! I will be completely honest about how I forgot about it and I am scrambling to get this pattern ready on time! Having said that.... I LOVE this granny square. I am working on a project using these squares and you don't want to miss out on it!

I used a combo of Red Heart Super Saver Yarn and Loops and Threads Impeccable. I really wanted to use what I had and de-stash as much as possible!

You can use one color or any combination. I was tempted to (almost) use one color but decided to use multiple colors (and weave in dreaded end!).

4" = 9 Stitches |4 Rounds
Abbreviations
ch - Chain
st(s) - Stitch(es)
sl st(s) - Slip Stitch(es)
sc - Single Crochet
hdc - Half Double Crochet
dc - Double Crochet
sk - Skip
Round 1 (Color A): Starting with the magic ring, work [3sc, ch10] 4x in the ring. Join with a slip st using Color B.
Round 2 (Color B): ch2 (Counts as 1hdc), 1hdc in same st, *1hdc in next st, 2hdc in next st, ch10**, 2hdc in next st. Repeat from * around ending on **. Join with a slip st using Color C.
Round 3 (Color C): ch3 (Counts as 1dc), 1dc in same st, *1dc in each of next 3 sts, 2dc in next st, ch12, sk ch12 sts**, 2dc in next st. Repeat from * around ending on **. Join with a slip st using Color D.
Round 4 (Color D): ch3 (Counts as 1dc), 1dc in same st, *1dc in each of next 5 sts, 2dc in next st, ch12, sk ch12 sts**, 2dc in next st. Repeat from * around ending on **. Join with a slip st using Color A.
Note: Round 5 is the last round. If you would like to continue to crochet more rounds for a larger square (i.e. blanket), repeat round 4 increasing the number of dc sts on each round (between the ch12 sts) as follows: 2dc in first dc st, 1dc in every dc st until last dc of the set, 2dc in the last dc st.
Round 5 (Color A): ch3 (Counts as 1dc), 1dc in same st, *1dc in each of next 7 sts, 2dc in next st, [insert hook in first loop from round 1, pull up loop from 2nd round, pull up loop from 3rd and 4th round, 3dc sts in loop from round 4**, 2dc in next st. Repeat from * around ending on **. Join with a slip st using Color A.
Finishing: Fasten off and weave in ends.
