Hi & welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by! Today I have a crochet tutorial for you! The Block Stitch was used in my latest free pattern, the Squared Away Scarf.
This stitch is simple and only has a 2 row repeat. It can be minless and a project for when you're catching up on your shows or binge watching xomething new on Netflix.

ch – Chain
sl st(es) – Slip Stitch(es)
st(s) – Stitch(es)
sc – Single Crochet
dc - Double Crochet
sk – Skip
beg – Beginning
rem – Remaining
rep – Repeat
SKILL LEVEL – Beginner
INSTRUCTIONS
Foundation: Ch in multiples of 3 + 2.
Row 1 (ws): 1sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, *ch2, sk2, 1sc in next st. Rep from * to end.
Row 2: ch3 (counts as dc st), & turn. *2dc in the ch2 sp, 1fpdc around the sc st. Rep from * until last ch2 sp. 2dc in last ch2 sp, 1dc in last sc st.
Row 3: ch1 & turn, 1sc in same st, *ch2, sk2, 1sc in next st. Rep from * to end.
Note: The last st is worked in the turning ch.
Repeat Rows 2-3 until desired size.
