NOTES – Pattern is written in US terms. When switching colors, use new yarn to complete the last sc st. as follows: insert hook in last st, yo, pull up a loop, yo with mc and pull through 2 loops.

You can adjust the size of your stocking by changing the number of rounds in your stocking!

TOE | Worked in rounds with cc
Round 1 (cc): Start with a magic ring, 6sc into the ring. Pull tail to tighten ring. Do not join. (6 sts)
Pm on first st. Move marker up as necessary to keep track of the first st of every round.

Round 2 (cc): 2sc in every st around. (12 sts)
Round 3 (cc): *1sc in next st, 2sc in next st. Rep from * around. (18 sts)
Rounds 4-5 (cc): 1sc in every st around. (18 sts)
Switch to mc
Round 6 (mc): 1sl st in first st (loosely), *1hdc in every st around. (18 sts)
Reminder: End the last stitch with new color when changing colors.

Round 7 (mc): *1hdc in the sl st, 1fpdc around post of next st, *1hdc in next st, 1fpdc around post of next st. Rep from * around. (18 sts)
Rounds 8-11 (mc): *1hdc in next st, 1fpdc around post of next st. Rep from * around. (18 sts)
HEEL | Worked in rows with cc
Row 1 (rs): ch1, 1sc in ea of the next 9 sts carry the mc along back of work (you'll end on the correct side when picking up the mc again). (9 sts)


Row 2 (cc): ch1, turn, 1sc in ea of the next 8 sts, skipping the last st. (8 sts)

Row 3 (cc): ch1, turn, 1sc in ea of the next 7 sts, skipping the last st. (7 sts)
Row 4 (cc): ch1, turn, 1sc in ea of the next 6 sts, skipping the last st. (6 sts)
Row 5 (cc): ch1, turn, 1sc in ea of the next 5 sts, skipping the last st. (5 sts)
Row 6 (cc): ch1, turn, 1sc in ea of the next 4 sts, skipping the last st. (4 sts)
Heel Shaping
Row 7 (cc): ch1 & turn, 1sc in ea of the next 4 sts, sc2tog in the side of the sc st 1 row below & in skipped st from 2 rows below, 1sl st in the side of the sc st from 3 rows below. (5 sts)

Row 8 (cc): turn, skip the sl st, 1sc in ea of the next 5 sts, sc2tog in the side of the sc st 1 row below & in skipped st from 2 rows below, 1sl st in the side of the sc st from 3 rows below. (6 sts)
Row 9 (cc): Turn, skip the sl st, 1sc in ea of the next 6 sts, sc2tog in the side of the sc st 1 row below & in skipped st from 2 rows below, 1sl st in the side of the sc st from 3 rows below. (7 sts)
Row 10 (cc): Turn, skip the sl st, 1sc in ea of the next 7 sts, sc2tog in the side of the sc st 1 row below & in skipped st from 2 rows below, 1sl st in the side of the sc st from 3 rows below. (8 sts)
Row 11 (cc): Turn, skip the sl st, 1sc in ea of the next 8 sts, sl st to 1st st of mc (8 sts) Note: no increase made
Row 12 (cc): Turn, skip the sl st, 1sc in ea of the next 8 sts, sc2tog in side of sc & in skipped st from 2 rows below, 1sl st with mc in the same st. (9 sts)
Switch to mc
Round 12 (mc): Turn, 1hdc in ea of the next 9 sts, 1fpdc in in next (mc) st, *1hdc in next st, 1fpdc. Rep from * around.
Tip: See video for tips on closing the gaps between the heel & front sts.

Rounds 13-17 (mc): *1hdc in next st, 1fpdc around post of next st. Rep from * around. (18 sts)
Change to cc
Round 18 (cc): 1sl st in first st, 1hdc in every st around. (18 sts)

Round19: *1hdc in next st, 1fpdc around post of next st (insert through the sc st and out the next instead of working below in the post). Rep from * around. (18 sts)

Round 20: 1hdc in next st, 1fpdc around post of next st. Rep from * until last st, 1sc in last st. (18 sts)
Fasten off.
Find the center back of your stocking & fasten on the inside. Ch10, sl st back in to the stocking.


Fasten off and secure.
Weave in any rem ends.
