I love the ZZ twist yarn. I fell in love with it when I made the Aurora Shrug for Lion Brand's 12 weeks of Christmas (Aurora Free Pattern & Video). This pattern is also available as a kit on Lion Brand's Website (Click here to purchase), also on sale! I love how soft this 100% acrylic yarn is. It has a really lovely drape as a garment.
I don't know if I'm the only one who designs a little backwards. I feel like I should do my sketch, schematics and then choose my yarn. Mostly (not always), I get the yarn and then I figure it out. I was overly excited about starting another project with the ZZ Twist yarn that I randomly chose a few colors knowing that the Peacock would be my main color.
The construction is simple and there are no shaping in the sweater. The body is worked with the front and back being the same and then seamed together. The Sleeves are crocheted directly on with no shaping either. The stitches are easy to work and it works up pretty fast! The This would be a great beginner's pattern.
