The first few rounds use sc sts for durability. You may use all dc sts. An optional round oF single crochet is used when changing colors. Crochet over ends when changing colors.

This is the bottom of the bag. Chain as many sts as you'd like the width of the bag. Keep in mind your own tension when you work your first round. Do your chain stitches stay the same length? Does it shrink a little bit? shrink a lot? Typically, your chain stitches will determine your length. In this case, it's the width of the bag.

Round 1 (Color A): ch 50, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook & each ch until

the last ch, 3sc sts in the last st. Turn & work sc sts on opposite side until

last st. 2sc sts in the last st. Do not join. (100 sts)

If you're adjusting sizes, make sure to follow the chart below. You want to make sure you have 3 sts in the ends

Rounds 2-8 (Color A): 1sc in every st around in a continuous round. Place

a marker on the 1st st to mark the beginning of the round. Join with a sl st to

the 1st st at the end of round 8. (100 sts)

Rounds 9-14 (Color A): ch2 (does not count as a st), 1dc in every st

around. Join with a sl st to the 1st dc.

Round 15 (Color B): ch1, 1sc in every st around. Join with a sl st to the 1st

Note: You can omit the sc rounds and continue in dc sts throughout.

Rounds 16-30 (Color B): Rep round 9 with Color B for 15 rounds.

Round 31 (Color C): Rep round 15.

Rounds 32-34 (Color C): Rep round 9 with Color C for 3 rounds.

Place markers on the 25th & 50th sts. These should be the center front and

Round 35 (Color C): ch1, [sc in every st until 7 sts before the marker.

ch15, sk 14] twice, sc in rem sts. Do not join.

Round 36 (Color C): [sc in every st until the ch sts, 14sc sts in the ch14

space] twice, sc in rem sts. Do not join.

Rounds 37-38: sc in every st. join with a sl st to the 1st sc at the end of

round 37. Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Weave in your ends and block as desired.
