Today's tutorial is on basic crochet stitches. In my last short video (watch it now!), I demonstrated how to work chain stitches. Most of the time, chaining stitches is the most difficult part of learning crochet. If you're not working in the round, mostly likely you will start with chain stitches for a crochet project.
This video tutorial provides a step by step tutorial on single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), triple crochet (tc), & the slip stitches. Each stitch provides a different size and look to your work.
Single Crochet (sc):second
Half Double Crochet (hdc): Work your first hdc stitch into the third chain from the hook.
Double Crochet (dc): Work your first dc stitch into the fourth chain from the hook.
Triple Crochet (tr): work your first dc stitch into the fifth chain from the hook.
I hope to add more tutorials in the near future (for both crochet & knitting). Check out my knitting tutorials as well!
