Owl Lovey Blanket Crochet Along (CAL)

Updated: Apr 19, 2019

I just launched my first Crochet Along (CAL) for September! I thought about adding this to my next one but according to a poll, it wasn't that popular! haha So, I decided to release it now since the beanie only lasted a week! lol.

Recently, I was asked if I could donate something for a baby shower and that the nursery was a "wood" theme. It will be used on a diaper cake so I decided to make a little Owl Lovey Blanket. It was the perfect project because it was quick & I got to use this pretty yarn!

I started with the classic Granny Square Blanket. Then I made the head and attached it after. I didn't have time to figure out the design before recording. I knew I had to record now or I wouldn't get it done!

I decided to use safety eyes for the eyeballs. You can stitch in a strand of yarn for sleepy eyes or you can crochet a small round eye (using the same method as the larger piece but perhaps a very light weight yarn with a tiny hook.
