How to Knit the Bamboo Stitch

The Bamboo Stitch was one of the very first stitches I learned when I started knitting besides knit and purl stitches, of course.
So I wondered why I haven't made a beanie using this stitch. I love the texture of this stitch. It looks great with lighter weight yarn as well. Since I like to include tutorials on my patterns, here's a quick tutorial on the bamboo stitch.
SUPPLIES:
Any size yarn and recommended needle size for your yarn.
I used HiyaHiya Interchangable Needles (Large) & Lion Brand's Wool Ease Thick & Quick in Lemongrass
Knitted Flat:
Cast on a multiple of 2 stitches
Row 1: purl all stitches
Row 2 (Right Side): *Yarn over, knit 2 stitches, pass yarn over stitch over the 2 knitted stitches. Repeat from * to end.
Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until desired length.
Knitting in the round:
Cast on a multiple of 2 stitches, add stitch marker & join round
Round 1: Knit all stitches around
Round 2: *Yarn over, knit 2 stitches, pass yarn over stitch over the 2 knitted stitches. Repeat from * around.
Repeat rounds 1 & 2 until desired size.

VIDEO TUTORIAL
This video shows you how to knit rounds 1 & 2 (mainly #2) in traditional English style & continental style. I'm a little bad at traditional, so don't mind me!
