Hi Friends! The Ellington Slouch Beanie is finally live!!! This uses 4 different colors and can be a good start to practice your stranded knitting. A video tutorial is provided below and in the pattern.

This is just a standard head sizing chart provided for your convenience. This is not the finished beanie size. Sizes may differ due to knitter’s tension and type of yarn used.

Sizes: Baby (Toddler, Child, Adult, Lg Adult)
BRIM | US13/9mm Needles
With Color A, co 36 (38, 40, 42, 44), join round careful not to twist sts. Add stitch marker to mark the beg.
Rounds 1- 5 (6, 7, 7, 8): *k1tbl, p1. Rep from * around.
BODY | US15/10mm Needles
Set up Round
Baby: k all sts. (36 sts)
Toddler: [k28, kfb] twice. (40 sts)
Child: k all sts. (40 sts)
Adult: [k20, kfb] twice. (44 sts)
Large Adult: k all sts. (44 sts)
Round 1: *k2 (A), p1 (B), k1 (A). Rep from *.
Round 2: *k1 (A), p3 (B). Rep from *.
Round 3: *k1 (A), p1 (B), k1 (A), p1 (B). Rep from *.
Round 4: *k1 (B), p1 (B), k1 (C), p1 (B). Rep from *.
Round 5: *p1 (B), k3 (C). Rep from *.
Round 6: *k2 (C), k1 (D), k1 (C). Rep from *.
Round 7: *p1 (B), k3 (C). Rep from *.
Round 8: *p2 (B), k1 (C), p1 (B). Rep from *.

Rep rounds 1-12 until beanie measures 1-2” above the height measurement (see chart above). Measure from the bottom of brim up. Examples: For a 9-year-old, stop at 10” for a 2” slouch beanie. Adjust slouch as desired. ircular needles or
Decrease Rounds | Switch to dpns when stitches are too tight on circular needles or try the Modified Magic Loop!
Round 1: *k4, k2tog. Rep from *. k rem sts.
Round 2: *k3, k2tog. Rep from *. k rem sts.
Round 3: *k2, k2tog. Rep from *. k rem sts.
Round 4: *k1, k2tog. Rep from *. k rem sts.
Rep Round 4 if needed
FINISHING Cut yarn leaving a long tail. Using a tapestry needle, weave through remaining stitches as if to knit and pull tight. Secure and weave in all ends.
Pom Pom
Using an extra-large pom pom maker (or desired size), make pom pom by wrapping yarn around pom maker until full or as thick as you’d like and attach to beanie.
